About Dad
Hi Im Ted, When I met Austin for the first time I was in love with him as well as his Mother and sisters, I remember asking his Mom Stephanie what disability it was that he had, when she told me he was born with a cleft lip and pallet sensory hearing loss and Microdeletion syndrome, I said Micro WHAT??? After surfing the Internet I found little about this disorder, But I have not stopped being amazed at the strength that he has, the will to communicate, the passion he has for life, I started this blog for two reasons, One so that other family's with children with 17q21.31 can read the latest that is going on with his health and progress, and two so that we can put everything in one place that all his doctors and therapists can read. trying to remember everything one doctor says and one therapists says and trying to relay all these messages and suggestions, and treatments to each and everyone can get over whelming, And sometimes gets confused, But Manley because I am so amazed at Austin and his ability's ( Not disabilities) I just have to share :)
